In-depth look
The main lodge is the perfect place to stay for those who want to rest and recharge in a simple and comfortable space. It is laid out across two floors and is surrounded by a covered, wrap-around deck, a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to the birds.
We value the opportunity that Diamond Willow offers guests to unplug from the world and spend time enjoying nature and the company of friends and family without distraction. As such, there is cell service, but no WiFi or satellite TV available at the retreat.
We welcome guests to make use of the numerous puzzles and games kept in the main lodge, and/or to bring their own entertainment.
Main Floor:
The main floor is a wheelchair accessible space with enough room to host group dining and seminars in the central area. There is a common lounge in one corner with couches and chairs surrounding a wood-burning fireplace.
Beside the living-room are two bedrooms. One of these rooms doubles as a library/quiet-room. It includes one queen-sized bed, three bookshelves, a writing desk, a couch, and an armchair with an ottoman. The library is a great place to read, craft, or rest. The other room on the main floor includes two queen-sized beds, a dresser, mirror, and an armchair.
Across from the living-room is our full kitchen, which includes two full-sized ovens, two large double sinks, a walk-in refrigerator, a stand-alone fridge/freezer, and walk-in pantry. There are also two regular coffee-makers, two toasters, and a microwave. Larger groups can take advantage of multiple coffee urns and two large water/juice jugs. With such groups in mind, the kitchen is generously supplied with dish, drink, and silverware and an array of basic cooking and baking utensils.
Off one side of the main floor (beside the piano) are our two common washrooms, one of which includes a single vanity, the other a double. Each bathroom has two toilets and a shower.
There is a laundry room next to the kitchen that includes a front-load washer and dryer set.

Upper Floor:
The stairs to the upper floor lead to an open walkway that wraps around three sides of the main floor, allowing access to a common lounge and four bedrooms.
The lounge is located on the west end of the building and there are two bedrooms on either side to the north and south. These upper rooms get lots and lots of beautiful natural light throughout the day. The rooms on the west side of the building are slightly larger than the rooms on the east.
The two rooms on the north of the building are separate. Each has two queen beds, one three quarter bathroom plus one common sink and vanity, two chairs and two nightstands. The northwest room includes two dressers while the northeast room has one.
The two rooms on the south side of the building are connected, sharing a full bathroom and one common vanity between them. The southeast room also has its own single vanity. The south west room includes two dressers, while the southeast room has one.
